Tony Kent Strix Memorial Award 2024
Nicola Ferro
The Strix Award honors exceptional contributions to information retrieval (IR) in memory of Tony Kent, a pioneer in the field. Established in 1998 by the Institute of Information Scientists, it is now presented by UKeiG in collaboration with ISKO UK, the RSC CICAG, and the BCS IRSG. The Strix judging panel noted that Nicola's contributions to IR are extensive, evidenced by an outstanding and impactful publications record and congratulated him on his prolific and significant leadership and contribution to the profession on multiple fronts.
